## Introduction

We have identified a recurring issue that some of our users have experienced when using Content Formatting Toolkit Macros in Confluence. This page outlines the nature of the problem and provides a detailed solution to help you manage the issue effectively.

## Problem Description

### Issue

When using Content Formatting Toolkit macros, some users encounter a macro display problem if the pages are restricted.

### Symptoms

- The following error message is displayed:

## Root Cause

After thorough investigation, we have determined that the issue is caused by restricted permissions for the “Content Formatting toolkit” user.

## Solution

To resolve this issue, please follow the steps outlined below:

### Step 1: Verify User Permissions

1. Check if the “Content Formatting toolkit” user is exists amongst the users list.

2. If the user exists, proceed to the next step.

### Step 2: Add User to Restricted Pages

1. For each restricted Confluence page, add the “Content Formatting toolkit” user to the page's permissions.
2. Ensure that the user at least has the view only permission for the content.

### Additional Notes

- It is important to verify permissions on all pages where the display issue occurs.
