Your journey with Glossary for Confluence starts by adding your first Glossary. Each terms belong to a glossary existing within a Confluence space. 

## Creating a new Glossary

In order to create a new glossary: 

1. Navigate to the space where you want to add your glossary and terms
2. Select Glossary from the left navigation menu

You can create your first glossary through the **“+”** on the Glossaries Tab.

Insert your title and select the icon to use. You can refer to two sets of icons (flags or thematic icons)

> ℹ️ For new spaces, the Glossary App creates a default container named **Default Glossary**.
> ℹ️ 
> ℹ️ The title and the icon of this glossary can be edited any time.
> ℹ️ 
> ℹ️ This glossary can not be deleted.

> ℹ️ The “ + “ add glossary button will not be visible if you don’t have access to create glossaries in the selected space

## Navigate existing glossaries in space

Glossary view is articulated around a main view where you will see first the listing of all existing glossaries per space as Tabs. 

If there are more than 7 glossaries, they will be listed under the **All Glossaries** menu. Once you select the desired glossary, it will be added to the tabs list.

## Manage Glossaries

In order to list all your glossaries in space, you can click on **Manage Glossary **under** the All Glossaries **menu. You will be redirected to a listing interface for all existing glossaries in the space.** **

The glossary’s title is clickable and redirects you to the main view with the terms listing.

## Glossary Actions: Edit, Delete, Export,set as deafult and Share

You can manage your glossary action via the … button that shows when you click on your glossary  name, as displayed below:

### Edit Glossary

You can update the glossary name and icon. 

### Delete Glossary

> ⚠️ Deleting a glossary will delete all its terms too.

### Export terms 

This will export to CSV all selected glossary terms. 

### Share

A direct link to your clipboard will be copied in order to share your glossary. 

### Set As default 

You can choose any glossary as your personal default glossary for the space. Your default glossary becomes the main view that opens directly when you access the space. A default glossary cannot be deleted, but you can still edit its name and icon at any time.

## Sort and Filter Glossary terms

> ℹ️ Terms sorting and filtering apply to the active glossary and its related terms

You can sort terms by: 

- Alphabetic order
- Date (recent and old)

You can filter terms by: 

- Labels: You can type the labels to filter terms with.

- Users: Select terms creator (s)
- Date: Set the creation date period
- :info: Filter terms by Languages, Filter term by translation, and Select Translation Languages are fields related to the Language module to be released by the end of July
